"Eveline" is about a young girl name Eveline Hill. In the story Eveline is given the chance to run away with her young lover Frank. Unable to decid if she should follow her heart Eveline begins the novel by contemplating whether or not she should go. Eveline realises that is she goes with Frank to Buenos Ayres then she leaves behind the bad reputation and abusive father that her mother had left her. On the other hand she also recognises that if she leaves with him she leaves behind the people she has known all her life. After hours of contemplation Eveline decides to follow her heart and goes to the wharf to meet Frank. However, just as she is about to board the ship, Eveline expereinces an ephipany and realises that she cannot leave her life behind.
